About

With war movies sparking a new resonance in the public imagination, the 29 Palms Military Film Festival to take place from Friday September 29th through October 1st, 2017 in Twentynine Palms, California, will feature a prestigious lineup of 24 films and documentaries consisting of independent and studio movies telling heart-thumping and larger-than-life war stories.

Commemorating military members and their guests, selected screenings will also highlight Veterans who will share their recollections of pivotal moments during the Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan wars and tell highly personalized accounts that will be a powerful reminder of the sacrifices all our service men and women make when they are sent to the battle ground.

These 24 films will be screened in four venues (outdoor and indoor) that include SMITH’S RANCH DRIVE-IN THEATER, SMITH’S RANCH AUDITORIUM, TWENTYNINE PALMS JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL, and KNOTT SKY PARK. Each venue will have a unique time-capsule feel of early 1950’s memorabilia furnished by Mobile Drive-In Theater.

The 29 Palms Military Film Festival is organized by Basic Lead, a Los Angeles-based event production & management agency servicing the entertainment industry.
